a Biblical thought...
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. (James 5:16)
a Book thought...
You will never make as meaningful a contribution as when you operate from the energy of holy discontent. (p48 Hybels)
a Dave thought...
It was inspiring to hear Commissioners Hope & Stuart Mungate at the Rally for the Congo at Box Hill corps last night. Stuart shared how officers in his territory would walk anywhere from 20 to 50 kilometers to preach the gospel. He also went on to say that the government asks The Salvation Army in the Congo to take over schools and medical clinics as they run them so successfully. Hope later came on and shared the word with us and challenged us with idea that we need to get out of our churches and preach to unsaved people not ourselves. She reminded us that Jesus was not crucified in a church between two candles but rather on a garbage heap between two thieves. If you get an opportunity to hear them do yourself a favour and go along, they are truly Godly people who will inspire you with their passion & faith.
Just a thought.
