a Biblical thought...
Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and the assembly gathered at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. (Leviticus 8:4)
a Book thought...
God uses the commonplace to build character, to expand the leader's heart by layering experience and learning that must be available to the leader for larger assignments. (p45)
a Dave thought...
Yesterday morning at South Barwon Corps it was great to be present at the installation of Lieutenant Aaron Stobie as Assistant Corps Officer. Aaron is the youngest officer in the territory at age 21 but displays amazing confidence and maturity for his age. As he preached with an 'L' Plate on there was no doubt in my mind that Aaron is a real learner and God is working through this young man already. As he concluded his sermon Aaron asked the congregation to gather and pray with him to dedicate themselves and the corps to God. It was evident that God was present as over 50 people from the congregation gathered down at the front for prayer and to support Aaron as begins the journey of officership.
Just a thought.

What is an "L" plate?
It's our sign for a learner driver's permit - I've seen this prop used by new preachers around the place, plastic yellow square with a black L in the middle
