a Biblical thought...
"Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (1 Sam 15:22)

a Book thought...
A kingdom-minded ministry is more about what God is doing everywhere than what God is doing in your own ministry. (p145)

a Dave thought...
I found this picture on the Frontier Youth Trust website @ http://www.fyt.org.uk/ It is one of those pictures that I find amusing but then when I think some more about it, sadly it also resembles some truth. As young people continue to abandon the Church in the western world it is not always their desire to leave. There are many comfortable congregations that continue to avoid change and as they do this they also sometimes unintentionally become more irrelevant for the emerging generations. I pray that those of us involved in the church will do our best to make sure the door is not closed shut for the youth today. Rather I’d love to see us invite this generation inside to help us renovate and give the church a face lift so more of their mates may want to come and check it out.
Just a thought.
