Joining Twitter

a Biblical thought...
"If I am a man of God," Elijah replied, "may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then the fire of God fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men. (2 Kings 1:12)

a Book thought...
William Booth's statement to Salvationists announcing our discontinuation of the Lord's Supper was not intended to stand for all time. (p94)
a Dave thought...
David Gallant was getting ready to leave university for the working world. Excited about his future employment, he started applying for jobs on established job classified sites Craigslist and Monster. Nothing happened. He looked at tech-specific job sites Dice and Indeed. He got two phone calls with job agencies, but nothing else.
While he waited for jobs to come in, he set up a blog, wrote about his DJ hobbies, and joined Twitter. He started chatting to people in blogging and web development - the industry he wanted to work in. One day, he saw a retweet (a forwarded message) about a job and applied for it. His potential employers checked his blog and Twitter page, and not long after, he was hired - just two weeks after graduating from university.
David Gallant's experience isn't unique. He's one of a growing number of people who have found the adage "It's not what you know but who you know" taking on new meaning.

Well last night I too like David Gallant joined twitter. Not that I'm looking for a new job but it is certainly a good way to stay up to speed with everything happening around the globe.

Just a thought.
