Dream Team

a Biblical thought...
It makes good sense that the God who got everything started and keeps everything going now completes the work by making the Salvation Pioneer perfect through suffering as he leads all these people to glory. (Hebrews 2:10)

a Book thought...
Wherever we see justice, beauty, or goodness, there is a chance the light is shining through from heaven. (p157 Sayers)
a Dave thought...
It was fascinating to watch the Australian Olympic basketball team play against the USA dream team last night in a warm-up game. The Americans - featuring stars like Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd and LeBron James beat Australia 87 to 76. Even though the USA line-up is worth over $120 million dollars per season they have not won gold at Olympic or world championship level since the Sydney Games in 2000. It is interesting how the Aussies at a tenth of the value of the US team could get so close to these superstars.

The fact that a champion team will always out perform a team of champions is so true, not only in sport but in any team we are a part of. I have discovered in ministry time and time again that the best teams are made up of selfless individuals who believe in each other and will do whatever they can to help others achieve their potential. I’m sure the US have the players to win gold in 08 but I’m still not sure if they are willing to play as their name suggests.

Just a thought.
