Street View

a Biblical thought...
And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish. Don't drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them. (Hebrews 6:10-12)

a Book thought...
This is what Jesus means by storing up treasures in heaven; actions and attitudes based in God's will for this world act as treasures both in this world and in the world to be remade. (p167 Sayers)
a Dave thought...
BY NOW most of you reading this will have Googled your house, a friend's house and most likely had a gratuitous sticky at a few others. Let's be honest, the new Street View that came into being with much excitement last week is really just another way to check out people without them knowing. It speaks volumes about us as a society — and perhaps explains why Australia has the dubious honour of being one of the first countries in the world with access to Street View — that the service has been under such incredible demand these past days that it's been close to meltdown.

More and more we are being watched and photographed every day of our lives, Google now have the majority of houses in Melbourne photographed and by searching for your house, you maybe surprised someone has taken a picture of it and uploaded it on the net. Like many have predicted, there are not many secrets in the world anymore, and it won't be long till anyone can get a picture 24/7 of yourself, your family and even where you live. http://maps.google.com/help/maps/streetview/

Just a thought.

An unnecessarily alarmist view of technology.

You seem to speak from profound ignorance. But then evidence is not a Christian's strong suit, is it?

If you can't be trusted with real world observations, how else are you misleading people?
